How many grams of water could be raised from 25 C (room temp) to 100 C (boiling point of H2O) by the amt of?
energy released in the formation of 1 mol H2 from hydrogen atoms? The bond energy of H2 is 435 kJ/mol
The answer is 1400g
But i dont know how they got that. What formula or conversion factor are we sopposed to use. Im so confused. Please help

Hydrogen Generators for Cars; What are They and How Do They Work?
about 1 year ago - No comments
mike legg asked: When I first heard about hydrogen generators for cars and hydrogen car kits, I thought that people were talking about some futuristic gadget or rocket car, perhaps from the latest science fiction blockbuster at the movies. I never believed that it would be possible to run cars on water which is what More >
Chemistry Help! Grams to liters conversion?
about 2 years ago - 1 comment
so there is .7777 grams of hydrogen or h2 or .385 moles. it needs to be converted into liters.
At room temperature and pressure the volume of a mole of any gas is 24 liters.
Please help,
thanks

A hydrogen fuel cell stack(terminal voltage 9V) has an internal resistance of 1 Ohms. It is connected to hydrogen and oxygen reservoirs. It is being charged using a battery of 11 V terminal voltage and 1 Ohms internal resistance. a. How many moles Hydrogen are produced per second? How long does one have to charge to store 10kJ in chemical energy (the energy content of hydrogen is 242 kJ/mol of Hydrogen)? b. What is the conversion efficiency from chemical energy in the battery into chemical energy of hydrogen? c. Now the fuel cell is used as a source to operate a device w/ 5 Ohms resistance. What is the power consumed by the device? What is the conversion efficiency from Hydrogen-chemical-energy into energy consumed by the device?

1. Gasohol contains ethanol (C2H5OH), which when burned reacts with oxygen to produce CO2 and H2O. How much heat is released when 12.5 g of ethanol burns? C2H5OH + 3O2 –> 2CO2 + 3H2O delta H= -1235 kJ AND 2. Hydrogen gas and fluorine gas react to produce hydrogen fluoride. Calculate the heat change (in kJ) for the conversion of 15.0 g of hydrogen gas to hydrogen fluoride gas at constant pressure. H2 + F2 –> 2HF deltaH= -536 kJ
