If you have used tires and you do not know what to do with them, it is important to find a way to reuse or recycle your them to lessen the amount of garbage or trash that people dispose in the dumpsites, landfills and junk yards, which are already filled with plenty of other types of waste.

Probably the best way to reuse your used tires is to use them as a spare (or multiple spares) for your car after you buy new tires. Obviously there has to still be some tread on the used tire for it to be usable. If you don’t want to do that, you could easily sell them online or at a yard sale.

Another great way is to dispose of the used tires in the correct locations, such as a tire drop-off location. Most tire companies encourage their consumers or buyers to drop off their used tires for recycling. You can also give your unwanted old tires to mechanics or your local used car parts shops. They will be more than happy to accept them.

If you have kids and a good tree in your front yard or back yard, you could easily make use of a tire swing. Simply cut some holes around the edge of the tire and put good thick rope through them that is strong enough to hold someone (also make sure the branch is secure), hang it from the tree, and you’ve got a great tire swing. You could also let your children paint it to their liking.
Finally, you can make a planter. Just fill a tire with soil and attach some sort of bottom if you’d like and plant flowers or something else in them and put it in your garden or just in your yard as a decoration.
